YHRC NEPAL is working among youth from the last 8 years for human rights education awareness campaign and has been mobilizing more than 1000 volunteers in different regions of Nepal to bring awareness about human rights. Youth role and leadership is important in promoting and protecting human rights, particularly the rights of the needy ones. YHRC NEPAL not only supports and empowers young people on burning human rights issues but it also encourages youth and aware their role to involve in human rights education campaign and other social activities to bring about peace and harmony in the society, community and nation. This is going to be the first ever Conference of YHRC NEPAL wherein more than 500 youths are going to participate. Participants will be youth delegates and ambassadors representing all provinces.
Youth & children are future of the country and the emerging young leaders are also the property of the nation. Youth can play crucial role to make the society harmonious, peaceful and tolerable. In this connection, the Conference has given the utmost importance to participate the youth of Nepal so that the kind of inputs they will take from the Conference will be immensely helpful to make their life and the life of others fertile, fruitful and functional with heightened sense of awareness and consciousness regarding human rights and its multiple dimensions as well as the conference will provide a platform for young people across nation to discuss, understand, share, find new solutions and develop strategies on issues pertaining to human rights, peace, inclusive societies and prosperity; further how young people are building resilience and innovation in their local communities for the attainment of human rights and national development goals.
The Conference will begin on Friday 7th September 2018 until Saturday 8th September 2018 at Alfa Beta Complex, New Baneshwor, Kathmandu. The participants/ Delegates are expected to arrive at the venue sharp at 10:00AM.
DAY 1
Registration- 10AM to 10:50AM
First Session (2hrs) – Inauguration, adoption of the agenda and organization of work. (At 11:00AM to 01:00PM))
Lunch Break (01:00 PM to 01:30PM)
Second Session (2hrs) – Speeches and discussions on “Role of Youth & Human rights protection, promotion and public decision making”. (02:00PM to 04:00PM)
DAY 2
Third Session (2hrs) – Panel Discussion — Participation of youth in achieving National Development Goals & Promotion of Human Rights. (10:00AM-12:00AM)
Lunch Break (12:00 AM to 01:00PM)
Fourth Session (2hrs) – Panel Discussion — “Youth engagement in human rights education and Team work output.” (01:00 PM to 03:00PM)
Fifth Session (30Mins) Concluding the symposium
Passing YHRC NEPAL Youth Declaration
Sixth Session (2hrs) – Community Café and Retreat visit. (03:30PM)

About YHRC NEPAL
What is YHRC NEPAL?
Youth for Human Rights Campaign Nepal (YHRC NEPAL) is a non-profit, non-government and non-political organization established in September 2011 and registered at the District Administration Office, Kathmandu (Regd.No.33/068/069) under the Organization Registration Act 2034. Office is located in Gongabu, Kathmandu. It has been also affiliated with Social Welfare Council (affiliation no. 33109/068/069). It is a rights-based organization actively engaged in the education and promotion of human rights, working particularly among the Youth (in school, colleges and social settings) to promote the respect, recognition and protection of the individual and collective rights and activities at the national level. It has also been engaged for providing the educational program of Human Rights and capacity building (training, workshop, meetings, human rights database building), campaign and urgent appeals, networking and strengthening relationship and make youth aware about it. It has been closely working with National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), National Women Commission (NWC), National Dalit Commission (NDC), Human Rights Cell of Prime Minister Office, Security Agencies, National and International Organizations.
YHRC NEPAL is going to organize a "CONFERENCE ON “ROLE OF YOUTH AND HUMAN RIGHTS" at Alfa Beta Complex, New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, Nepal on September 7-8, 2018.
